Orna Ben-Ami: Entire Life in a Package spotlights the plight of refugees worldwide. Israeli sculptor Orna Ben-Ami examines Reuters news photographs of people and their belongings, sculpting and attaching iron satchels, hats, suitcases, and other familiar forms to the images. The resulting artworks illustrate the physical and emotional weight of a journey away from one s home.
The exhibition was previously shown at the UN in both Geneva and New York, and was organized by the Dennos Museum in Traverse City, MI in collaboration with the Waterfall Mansion and Gallery, NYC, and the artist. On view through August 18, the exhibition is sponsored by CWS Financial Services. Learn more Orna Ben-Ami.com and see her in action on YouTube.
